Sidhu Moose Wala shot dead
Shubdeep Singh Sidhu Moose wala, a Punjabi singer and Congress leader, was shot and killed on Sunday. The 27-year-old musician was shot and killed near Mansa three days after the Punjab government lowered his protection. He was shot at least ten times near a temple in the village of Jhawahar Ke and certified dead at Mansa's Civil Hospital.
The entertainment industry has been stunned by the news of Sidhu Moose Wala's demise. Celebrities mourned the passing of the Legend singer, from Ajay Devgn to Kapil Sharma, Lilly Singh to Shehnaaz Gill. "Shocking news about #sidhumoosewala, can't believe it," Rannvijay Singha tweeted. Roach Killa, a rapper, described it as a "dark day" for the entertainment business. "I'm stunned... this is a truly sad day for the industry."
According to preliminary investigation, it appears to be an inter-gang feud," said senior superintendent of police Gaurav Toora. Sidhu Moose Wala was travelling with two pals and did not bring his bulletproof car or gunman, according to him.
Goldy Brar, a criminal from Canada, claimed responsibility for the murder. He said that he, together with imprisoned mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, planned the assassination since the singer's name was linked to the assassination of Akali leader Vicky Middukhera and his cousin Gurlal Brar. Last year, Middukher was killed in Mohali, while Brar was killed in Chandigarh.
Satinder Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is a close friend of Lawrence Bishnoi, a criminal. He was a part of an extortion ring operating in the state.
